Terms of use

The rules for using the feed website and the feed contracts it helps you interact with, written to match how feed actually works.

Version: unpublished draft · Effective date: [to be set on publication]

01Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and [operator legal name, registered address and company number] (“the operator”, “we”), which runs the feed website. By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the website.

02What feed is

feed is a website and a set of smart contracts on Robinhood Chain. It lets a creator launch a coin through Pons V2 whose creator fees buy a reward token chosen from a curated list, and every hour it draws up to 10 of the coin's qualifying holders, who split that hour's purchase. How this works, including what the contracts enforce and what relies on people, is explained in the docs, which form part of the information you should read before using feed.

feed does not take custody of your wallet, does not hold your private keys and does not trade on your behalf. [Operator and counsel to confirm the regulatory characterisation of the service in each jurisdiction where it is offered.]

03No affiliation

feed is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Nosh, Pons, Robinhood Markets or any reward-token team. A token appearing in feed's catalog means it passed feed's own review of its contract and purchase route; it is not a statement by that token's team and not a recommendation.

04Your wallet and your transactions

  • You are responsible for your wallet, its keys and every transaction you sign. feed will never ask for a seed phrase or private key.
  • Transactions on Robinhood Chain are final. Neither feed nor the operator can reverse, cancel or refund a confirmed transaction.
  • Before signing, check the network, the contract, the amount and the recipient your wallet shows. feed shows these before it asks for a signature.
  • Reward claims always pay the wallet that is entitled to them. No one, including the operator, can redirect them to another address.

05Rewards are not guaranteed

Rewards exist only if a coin is traded, creator fees reach feed, a purchase executes within its price limits, a round's entrant list is attested and committed, and a wallet is drawn. Being drawn is never guaranteed. Estimates shown during a round, including ranks and chances, are not promises. Nothing on feed is an offer of a return, a yield or an investment.

06Fees

Launching a coin requires the launch fee set by Pons, which feed forwards exactly. Trades on a coin carry fees set by Pons and by the creator tax chosen at launch. Of the creator fees that reach feed, a share fixed at launch (the equivalent of the platform fee in force when the coin launched: 0.25% of the coin's trading volume by default, never more than 1%) goes to feed's platform buyer, which uses it to buy the $feed token for the feed treasury; the rest buys the coin's reward token. Every transaction also costs network gas. These amounts are shown before you sign and never change for an existing coin.

Failsafe: the platform buyer's owner, feed's dev wallet, can take any amount of the ETH waiting in it, up to all of it, out to its own wallet at once. It was added in case the buys get stuck, but the contract does not check that they are: the dev wallet can do it at any time, for any reason. ETH taken out is not used to buy $feed. Every withdrawal is public, with its amount and transaction, on the buyback page and on the admin-changes page.

07Content you provide

When you launch a coin you provide its name, ticker, description, links and image. You confirm you have the right to use them and that they are not misleading, unlawful or infringing. Some of this content is written to the blockchain and cannot be removed by anyone. The operator may decline to display content on the website that breaks these terms.

08Things you must not do

  • Use feed where doing so is unlawful for you, or if you are subject to sanctions. [Operator to list restricted jurisdictions and eligibility requirements.]
  • Impersonate another project, team or person, or present a coin as affiliated with someone it is not.
  • Attempt to manipulate prices, eligibility or allocations, or to interfere with the website, its API or other users.
  • Submit false discrepancy reports or overload the service.

09Risks you accept

  • Smart contracts can contain errors. This site does not claim an external audit.
  • Allocations rely on attested accounting with a review period, not an automatic fraud-proof system. feed runs with two wallets: a dev wallet that holds every admin role, and a side wallet whose key is kept on feed's server and whose signature alone approves each round's winner list. Nothing independent checks the lists (see the docs).
  • If feed's server is hacked. The side wallet's key is kept on the server, and it alone approves each round's winner list. If the server is hacked, then while the key is compromised the attacker can approve fake winner lists for every funded round of every coin, including prizes carried over from earlier rounds. Each fake list must be cancelled separately within its own 10 minutes, and new ones keep coming until the dev wallet replaces the attestor (setAttestors). Nothing independent checks the lists. The same key is the platform keeper: it sets the only price limit of the platform's $feed buys, so the attacker can also make the platform ETH that buys $feed for the treasury trade at a bad price, up to the route's maximum trade size once per cooldown. It cannot change any setting, and it cannot reach a round whose winner list is already past its review.
  • Every admin role is held by one wallet, feed's dev wallet, not by a multisig. Whoever holds its key can change feed's live configuration at once, including who approves winner lists, and it is also the only party that can cancel a winner list during its review.
  • Upstream parties feed does not control, including Pons administration, can change where future creator fees go and how they are swept. Reward-token prices can fall.
  • The website, the API or the chain can be unavailable. Finalized rewards can still be claimed without the website, as the docs describe.

10Limits of liability

[Counsel to draft disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity appropriate to the operator's jurisdiction. They must not contradict the factual descriptions above or in the docs.]

11Changes to these terms

Published versions will be dated and kept available. Material changes will be announced on the website before they take effect. Changes to these terms cannot change a coin's on-chain settings, which are fixed at launch.
